-
- Rules
- 1825
- From the DAT: "This is apparently the first of a series of name variations used by Thomas, William, and Charles Belcher. Thomas had worked alone before 1825 and they were called just T.&W. Belcher (no "& Co.") shortly after this."

- Ca. 1826 until 1830
- Marks: T & W BELCHER MAKERS (with star figures each end)
- Thomas and William Belcher dropped a very briefly used "& Co." from their
name. It is not clear when they changed their name again to Belcher Brothers, but an 1831 source uses that name while an 1836 source calls them Thomas, William, and Charles Belcher (Charles possibly having joined the others when this name changed to Belcher Brothers). The mark shown was actually reported as T & J BELCHER, but the "J" is believed to be a typo.

-
- Rules
- Ca. 1843 until 1852
- Ca. 1843, the Belcher Brothers of New York moved their manufactory to New Jersey while retaining a New York sales office and still marking their products New York. Different sources cite Camptown and Newark as their New Jersey location. It is not clear whether the company changed its name from Belcher Brothers to this entirely or whether this name might only have applied to the New Jersey plant. By 1853, both segments were using the name Belcher Brothers & Co.
- Camptown renamed to Irvington in November 1852.

- Ca. 1853 until 1885
- Marks: BELCHER/BROS.&CO/NEW YORK
- This was the last of a series of different names used by Thomas, William, and/or Charles Belcher (and possibly, by this time, others). The company had a sales office in New York and marked that on their tools, but their products were made in New Jersey. By this time, their products included an extensive line of such measuring devices as log measures, wantage rods, tailors rules/squares, parallel rules, etc. An Irvington, New Jersey, location was also reported.
